These shots are my last of Stanley in red of any kind...
In the first photo he was dreaming about driving himself to Luna Park, but photo two is really how he got there, riding all cuddled up to Frieda my granddaughter. Unfortunately the fun park was closed up as it was too early in the day. He was pretty disappointed as he had his eye on a viking ride that can just be made out in the third photo.
We did manage to get a fun capture of the entrance to Lunar Park that he was really pleased with. All in all we had a lot of fun showing Stanley some of the sights of Melbourne.
Strangely though, the real Stanley, disappeared on the way to the post office. I had the photos and Stanley, ready to go home to America but when I got to the counter to pay for the postage, he was absolutely nowhere to be found.
In a panic I enlarged a photo of him, printed it out, cut him out and emailed my friend, Mary, telling her what had happened. Her little boy said, "I can get a Stanley, any time, I just want the photos.", so the new slightly taller and thinner Stanley went home with photos. Mary told me that their Stanley, went the furthest away from home.
