Just around the corner...
This weeks Ruby Tuesday was just around the corner from where I live. Very convenient seeing as I've been extra busy. I had my eye on those red lanterns for a couple of weeks and today was the day for capturing them. The first photo is supposed to be an origami crane, but of course it's not really origami. The third photo is, hmmm, I don't know what it is. A Chinese symbol, for good luck perhaps; most likely. If anyone knows, I would like to know too.
So, I got Japan and China covered here. Funny how that works, go out for one subject and get a bonus one, well bonus to me. :)
Happy Ruby Tuesday to you all! Have a great day.

ReplyDeleteWOW! That is some FUN stuff! I LOVE the nonOrigami crane! And those lanterns would have grabbed my attention too! Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteVery nice oriental reds you've got there. The non-origami origami is my fav. Nice set of shadows it makes. Happy RT!

This is the perfect Ruby Tuesday post! That origami ctaue is amazing! I'm enjoying the music too:)
ReplyDeleteHello, Eaton,
ReplyDeleteI like the crane. Also have studied the window decoration closely. Tried to see reflections from the photographer, but I only see a lovely, green landscape.
Have a nice Ruby Tuesday.

Eaton, you are the winner of Prize #1 at Ruby Tuesday! Send me in e-mail your snail mail address and I'll send it to you. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWonderful series of reds. I LOVE the steel/metal origami crane. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful red Chinese things you have got in pics. Congratulations for winning in RT !
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful red items, the gold offsets the red dramatically. Red is the color of good luck in China, they decorate 'everything' with it on Chinese New Year. Prosperity, wealth, luck.
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting choice of subjects. E
I love those pictures...they are very cool...
